Alejandro De Mendoza
Co-Club Director

 

Alejandro De Mendoza brings over 17 years of extensive volleyball experience as both a player and coach, making him a respected figure in the volleyball community. As the Club Director for Momentous Volleyball Club, one of largest volleyball program in Orange County, CA, Alejandro oversees 25+ teams and manages the development of over four hundred athletes.

​

Under his leadership at Momentous Volleyball Club since 2020, Alejandro has significantly contributed to the club's philosophy and culture. He is responsible for managing and developing club coaches, designing weekly practice plans for all teams, running annual tryouts, and assisting in the college recruiting process. His hands-on coaching approach has led numerous teams to national recognition, including assisting the 17-1’s and 18-1’s teams in earning Open Bids to Nationals in recent years.

Alejandro's impact extends to high school volleyball as the Varsity Head Coach at Estancia High School, where he revitalized both the boys' and girls' programs. His tenure saw the boys' varsity team reach the CIF playoffs for the first time in 11 years and the girls' program achieve multiple 20+ win seasons and consecutive playoff berths, marking significant improvements and breaking long-standing records.

In addition to his club and high school coaching roles, Alejandro has been involved with USA Volleyball since 2019. In this capacity, he supports the Women’s National Team during training sessions with Olympic athletes and coaches regional and national camps to identify and mentor future national-team prospects.

​

Born and raised in Arcadia California, Alejandro's educational background includes studying Sports Management at Limestone College, where he was a student-athlete, and Orange Coast College, where he was part of the CCCAA State Championship team in 2014. His commitment to the sport and passion for coaching young adults is evident in his extensive track record of developing athletes at all levels.

With a deep understanding of the game, a proven ability to lead and develop programs, and a passion for nurturing young talent, Alejandro De Mendoza continues to make a lasting impact on the volleyball community.
